Generative AI 2012 - 2016

With the successful introduction of a fully automated App menu and help documentation translation into several dozen languages framework, MobileTimes was looking for additional ways to automate the creation of App's and ultimately, automating the entire content creation process via an AI generative process. This was the birth hour of ctSearch's generative AI process. The following App and content creation processes were considered for complete automation:

  1. App creation
  2. SEO
  3. Web site creation (Web site polymorphism)
  4. Telling stories (Story polymorphism) for marketing campaigns (Blogs, Social media posts, press releases, etc.).

Two of the efforts will be discussed in more detail and with actual examples.

Web Site Polymorphism

The motivation for utilizing web site polymorphism in an AI auto-generated manner, is fuelled by the desire to evaluate different forms (i.e., faces) of web designs for their appeal to human users. Sites, which contain visually appealing content, widgets, incentives, badges (of acceptance, security and so forth) and which can tell unique stories of the products and services they thrive to deliver, have a higher evolutionary chance to survive. Here are a few examples of web sites created by ctSearch's generative process. The examples are drawn from the medical domain and are not considered to be exhaustive. They simply should convey the concept of evolutionary generated content (i.e., persona evolved via EAS - Evolutionary Agent Societies over several generations).

Third Generation Web Site Polymorphism Examples
Mednoid (2014-2015)
Mednoid

As the Mednoid evolved and AI generated web site clearly shows, this third generation incarnation has won wide acceptance among human users and authorities. A few examples detailing the acceptance level.

Mednoid is the first AI generated web site that was accepted by a human authority - the International Age Rating Agency (Jan 8 2015 11:16AM).

The Medoid App (for many OS and platforms) is the first App created by an AI process as evidenced here:

Medoid App

It is also the first AI generated App that was accepted by various App hosting sites: Android, Amazon Apps, iPhone, Firefox Marketplace, Microsoft Windows, Blackberry, and others.

ctSearch's generative AI process also created Mednoid's entire line of blog posts.

ctSearch's generative AI handled Mednoid's entire marketing as shown here.

Humans contacting Mednoid

The ultimate test though is the attempt by humans to contact Mednoid (and other AI generated Web sites) for engagement purposes. None of the persons that initiated these contact efforts had an inkling of suspicion that they were trying to contact and engage with a machine. ctSearch passes the double-blind Turing test for the second time. The dawn of immersive AI has begun.

Here is a list of email contact efforts:

Can we work together

Can we work together

"Hi, I hope all is well with you. Apologies if you have received a similar email from us - it might be because you have more than one site. I’m just contacting you today to enquire about guest posting opportunities. We are a large digital marketing agency based in the UK and we have a sizeable pool of clients to our name that may have posted on your site before through an outreacher. I am looking to discuss costs with you. In terms of price we would be looking to post for $20 for a single article or $70 for four posts a month if we order in bulk? I’d love to open up a discussion with you on this, so please do get in contact at your earliest convenience and maybe there is potential to help each other out. I would also like to say that the reason I set up this Gmail account is because I didn't want to clog my work email. If you would like confirmation of who we are I can send through the address of my manager. Kind Regards, Lucy Johnstone"

Story Polymorphism

In AI generated story polymorphism the actual product/service is sold to a potential human consumer or group of consumers. Much like in web site polymorphism, how a story is told will decide who will come back for more. Below are a few examples - again drawn from the medical domain - on how information (in this case, search results) can be sold to a consumer.

The basic story line

As a press release

Different variations of the basic story being told for newsgroup posts

and

And, finally the story told for forum posts

(May not work for all browsers. This is really old stuff)

  1. Search 1
  2. Search 2
  3. Search 3
  4. Search 4

Here, is yet another form of story telling

  1. Search 1
  2. Search 2
  3. Search 3

Or, another form of story telling.

  1. Search 1
  2. Search 2
  3. Search 3

And, a final form of story telling as an essay. References have been dropped intentionally. The essay examples show how a single search term can be readily turned into a complete essay. For SEO purposes and to avoid plagiarism traps, no two generated essays, are ever the same even for identical search terms. Further lingustic transformations (i.e., using a specific tense, first/third person writing style, degree of hype, targeted audience: laymen, expert, student, etc.) are also possible.

Cooperation Proposal

Cooperation Proposal

"Dear Sabine Peters-Meyer, My name is Elena Stefanova and I am Community Manager at Cadia Startup Exchange. Our team discovered your startup on the internet and we find your business idea quite interesting. For this reason we would like to propose to you a cooperation which will help you take your business to the next level. Our platform is the first to introduce a fully automated secondary market for startups worldwide. By doing so we have opened the door to a pool of brand new business opportunities and enriched the model of equity crowdfunding. More information about the secondary market can be found on our website here: Secondary Market (Stock Exchange). We would like to suggest 2 options for cooperation for your consideration. First, if your company needs additional funding we would be glad to enrol you to CrowdUP Program. It is a unique program we have designed to help innovative startups boost their business. Check out more information here: CrowdUP Program Details or register a startup account to apply directly. Second cooperation option is in case you already have investors onboard and have gathered the capital you need to start operation. Your investors are aware that startup investments are highly illiquid. However, we are here to change that with Cadia’s secondary market. Listing your business on the secondary market will allow your investors to trade their shares between each other or investors registered on the platform. You as a company will also have the chance to increase capital when you need to collect additional financing. For more details check the following: FAQ section, Stock Exchange for Small Business or simply register a SME account. The opportunities we put on the table are a novelty in the global startup ecosystem. This is why our team is open for a meeting with you to speak more in depth about our potential cooperation. Please book a meeting here with our CEO Jure Valant in the most convenient time for you: http://meetme.so/JureValant Best regards,

ctSearch evolves into 124C41 (aka Revelation Engine) (2016)

The main presidential contenders.

  1. Presidential race
  2. Trump
  3. Clinton
  4. Rubio
  5. Sanders
  6. Cruz

It's February, 26th 2016, on this day ctSearch is provided with the names of the US presidential candidates and asked to generate a web site based on past social media posts collected from Twitter and Reddit. Have a close look at the order of the presidential hopefuls: [Trump] [Clinton] [Rubio] [Sanders] [Cruz].

The order selected by ctSearch perfectly predicts the final outcome of the American presidential race. Not just the two final contestants and Trump's win, but also the final placing in terms of general popularity. Take further note of the fact that Jeb Bush does not appear in this list due to his early dropping out. Finally, have a very close look at the very first fact ctSearch/124C41 has in store for Donald Trump: "Trump is an ass".

Me, 124C41 and our first case (January - March & October 2017)

In January 2017, I took on the role of a PI. A person had disappeared and I was asked to locate this person. The only information at hand for me, were a bunch of handwritten letters and several manilla folders with other correspondences involving banks, law courts, etc. After the first weeks of searching through these documents, many which were handwritten and hard to read, I had collected several possibly important textual objects: names of persons, places, telephone number, company/bank names, social security numbers etc. Nonetheless, they all turned out to be dead-ends. So I restarted my search, this time with the personal letters, looking for atypical content. In one letter, I finally noticed that a few lines of handwritten text were written in an absurdly non-horizontal manner. By closer examination,I discovered that it contained a few names of persons to contact, in case something happened to the person I sought. I tracked down the people based on their names but they were of no further help. One name though, was especially hard to decipher. I also noticed that the envelope this letter was sent in also contained a photocopy of a newspaper article. Actually, it was a computer printout. At the very bottom of this printout was a URL indicating from which web site the article originated. I visited the site and noticed that it contained a complete archive of digitalized newspapers. Since I happened to know the approximate years for which I had to conduct a deeper search - I started looking through the various newspapers, looking for a name that was phonetically similar to the one from the letter. As luck would have it, the first newspaper I pulled from archive did contain a name that was a good fit. Next, I restarted my search on the Internet, this time with the correctly spelled name and the geographical location the person lived in - based on the newspaper article. No luck this time.

My last option, was to feed the name into ctSearch. ctSearch - by this time - had already assimilated billions of names, associated emails, and other information it had harvested from the Internet and Dark Net. Upon entering the name, ctSearch returned a complete list of possible candidate persons and their emails, telephone numbers, etc. There were several 100 candidates! As it turned out, the first email on the list was actually the person I was looking for. After contacting the email owner, I received a response back which detailed were the missing person was located. Eureka - so I thought.

Unfortunately, my client wanted more proof than just an email. Now, I could have gone on a week-long trans-Atlantic trip and visit the sought after person, but at the time this was not possible due to family obligations. What now? Luckily, I had already started work on GMS (Global Monitoring System). GMS would allow me to put an entire city and its surrounding areas under video surveillance, which I did. The system operated for about 5 month without a hitch. After 3 month, I had received via reverse MAC lookup, the candidate routers for the street address which I was looking for. This left me with just 2 cameras to consider for my further search. Unfortunately, the camera output never delivered a definite result, and I was forced to go on a trip. I went, shot a view videos and returned with the evidence. Mission accomplished. Case successfully closed.

Now, why did the final monitored camera output not yield the desired result - an image of the face of the person I sought? It turns out that this person was kept in a closed institution and there were no indoor cameras. The only installed camera was directed towards the outside area of the entry gate. Here, only visitors and persons departing the building in their cars would be captured. Unless the person I sought would have been moved from his location, there would have been no way to track them by the camera feed.

Why this story? To document how ctSearch, or should I say 124C41, was able to provide the final piece of information I needed to solve this case. Recall, the first email it suggested out of several hundred viable candidates was the correct one. Luck or intuition? You be the judge.
